Despite his Manchester United sacking back in December, Jose Mourinho is still a prominent figure in modern football.

In recent months, the 56-year-old has turned his hand to broadcast, with his appearances on beIN Sports as well as his RT Today show 'On The Touchline With Jose Mourinho'.

Regardless, the hot topic regarding the Portuguese is when his next foray into management will come.

It was widely expected that he would be returning to Real Madrid in the summer to replace Santiago Solari following a dismal campaign for the Champions League holders.

However, the faltering 'Los Blancos' opted for Zinedine Zidane, who returned to the club after leaving in the summer, meaning Mourinho is currently in the wilderness.

Despite this, Mourinho seems to be in no rush to return this season, claiming he's turned down multiple job offers since leaving United.

Speaking to beIN Sports France, he explained, "I know exactly what I don't want, which is why I have already turned down three or four offers."

I also know what I do want. I don't mean the name of the club, but the type of work, the style of club. I know what I want and I hope to get it."

Mourinho is targeting a return in the 2019/2020 season, but his next destination is still up in the air.

"It's been three-and-a-half months since I last managed a club and I am preparing to do it again. When you are in the world of football, between Press conferences, games, video sessions, match analysis and daily problems, you never have time for yourself. I have therefore used the last few months to reboot.

The position of a Coach is special and I enjoy the daily work. I want to return this summer, starting from June, for the beginning of the season."

There have been rumours linking Jose to a return to Inter Milan, with who he won a historic Treble with in 2010, picking up a Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Champions League.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has been under pressure recently, with 'The Nerazzurri' being knocked out of the Europa League at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt last Thursday.

When speaking about his time in Milan, Jose spoke very fondly, especially about their Champions League triumph over Louis Van Gaal's Bayern Munich.

"There was a generation of players who had won several titles in Italy and dreamed of winning the Champions League. It was a really strong squad, but also a real family. We all had this dream and fought hard to make it happen.

"At the end of the day, I think the Treble was what that family deserved. It was fantastic."
