Jose Mourinho Is "Very Interested" In Becoming Real Madrid Manager
| Last updated
Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to make a sensational return to Real Madrid with reports claiming that he would be "very interested" if they were to come calling for his managerial services.
Mourinho, 56, has been out of management since his ruthless sacking as Manchester United manager last December.
He's turned down numerous jobs in a bid to land the Real Madrid gig. AS Monaco, Schalke and AC Milan have all failed to lure the 'Special One' to their respective clubs as he eyes a move back to Spain with his former team.
Mourinho has been working as a pundit for Sky Sports but Goal report that he's hoping to replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
Zidane's position at the club has come under threat following a unflattering start to the new season, which includes a Champions League hammering to Paris Saint-Germain.
And bookies have dropped the odds on Mourinho to take over from the current Madrid boss.
According to Oddschecker, selected bookies have dropped odds from 7/4 to 6/5 for Mourinho to head to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Oddschecker also found that 56 per cent of bets were placed on Mourinho after Real's 3-0 defeat at the hands of PSG at the Parc des Princes.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who was also linked with Los Blancos last season, has fallen behind Mourinho into second place with 9/2 odds.
Massimiliano Allegri, who left Juventus last season, is the third favourite to take over from 'Zizou' at 7/1 odds.
