Jose Mourinho ignored Frank Lampard's offer for a handshake at the end of Spurs' defeat to former club Chelsea.

Mourinho's side lost 2-1 at Stamford Bridge and when Lampard offered his handshake after the full-time whistle was blown, the Portuguese manager was not sticking around and headed straight down the tunnel after he pied his ex midfield talisman.

There was a pre-match handshake between the the pair but clearly the defeat left Mourinho in an angry mood and he was up and away in rapid time.

Lampard, who has now beaten his former boss in all three of their master-apprentice encounters thus far, then went onto the pitch to applaud the Chelsea faithful.

Chelsea went 1-0 up through Olivier Giroud's fine first-half finish and added to their lead through Marcos Alonso just half-time.

Antonio Rudiger's late own goal set up a nervy finish but the Blues held on for a crucial victory in the race for the top four.

There was more VAR controversy in the game as somehow Giovani Lo Celso somehow avoided a red card for a stamp on Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta.

The VAR officials did not communicate to referee Michael Oliver that it was a red card offence but then 30 minutes later those in Stockley Park admitted that they had made the wrong call.
