Jose Mourinho has hit back at Mesut Ozil after he said that he would rather retire than sign for Tottenham.
Ozil took part in a Twitter Q&A on Monday, where he fielded a host of fan questions including one about Arsenal's cross-town rivals Spurs.
The Arsenal supporting-social media user asked: "Now that your contract is nearing the end with Arsenal, If you only had one contract offer and that was from Tottenham....

"Would you rather retire or sign for Tottenham...?"
The German star answered, tweeting: "Easy question. Retire!"
Mourinho has since shared his thoughts on Ozil's claim - shutting him down during his pre-match press conference.

A reporter asked: "What did you make of Mesut Ozil saying that he would rather retire than sign for Tottenham?"
The Portuguese replied, saying: "Who told him that Tottenham would be interested in signing him?"
Mourinho was speaking ahead of his side's rearranged Premier League fixture against Fulham on Wednesday.

As for Ozil, he remains the subject of intense transfer speculation with Fenerbahce and D.C United linked with the wantaway midfielder.
And the 32-year-old fueled speculation by expressing his desire to play in Turkey and USA.

When asked if he'll continue his career once his Arsenal contract is expired, he replied: "I definitely will. There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and USA.
"f I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce."
Ozil still has six months left to run on his current deal as he nears the end of his association with Arsenal.
