Jose Mourinho has started the mind games ahead of the north London derby this weekend, by suggesting there's a chance Harry Kane could miss the game.

Tottenham and Arsenal's fortunes couldn't be much different heading into the weekend's derby between the pair, with Spurs riding high at the top of the table and the Gunners in the bottom half.

Mikel Arteta's side will be hoping for any small advantage they can take into the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, one of the first games with fans inside the stadium since March.

The Spaniard may be happy to know that Kane could be missing for Mourinho's side, although you can't help but feel that won't be the case.

The England captain was one of several players to miss training ahead of the team's Europa League game against LASK and, when asked about injuries, the manager said there was only 'a chance' the striker, Sergio Reguilon and Carlos Vinicius would be available.

Asked further about the forward's injury, the former Manchester United manager said, "I'm not going to tell you the nature of his injury.

"I think there's a good chance [for Sunday], I don't want to lie, I don't want to hide anything in relation to 'Oh is he going to play or not'. I think he's going to play, that's my feeling."

The 27-year-old has been in incredible form this season, and his partnership with Son Heung-min has been at the centre of their climb up the table.

The former Leicester City loanee has scored seven times already this season and set up nine goals for his teammates.

Kane and Reguilon both played the full 90 minutes as Spurs drew 0-0 with London rivals Chelsea at the weekend and there's a good chance neither would have started on Thursday, no matter their condition.

The side only need a point from their game in Hungary on Thursday, although a win against Antwerp next week would also likely be enough to get through.

Vinicius would likely have played Thursday but not started at the weekend if he were fit and would be the perfect replacement for an injured Kane usually.

Will Kane be perfectly fit or is Mourinho trying to play mindgames?
