The late, great Johan Cruyff would have been a big fan of this Manchester City side, according to his son Jordi.

The genius responsible for giving us the 'Cruyff Turn' and 'Total Football' passed away back in March following a long battle with cancer, but his legacy continues to live on in the football world - most notably, perhaps, at the Etihad Stadium.

City are obviously led at the moment by one of Cruyff's most famous prodigies, Pep Guardiola, and the Dutch legend would apparently be enthralled with the way his former pupil has the Sky Blues tearing strips off the opposition on a weekly basis in the Premier League.

Speaking at an event to launch Cruyff's new autobiography, former United man Jordi said:

"He always had a big admiration for English football. He loved that, so he really liked the opportunity when I was at United for four years. If he can still watch football he's probably a big Manchester City fan."

It's a shame that the great man never got the opportunity to manage or play in England, eh? What a sight that would have been!
