With Jose Mourinho becoming the new Tottenham Hotspur Manager this morning, Mourinho has also brought Joao Sacramento with him to be his new Assistant Manager. But who is the relatively unknown 29 year-old?

Jose Mourinho is mostly well-known for his second-in-command, Rui Faria. However, with Faria still Manager of Al-Duhali in Qatar, Mourinho begins his new job at Tottenham with a man he's never worked with; Joao Sacramento.

Sacramento is mostly known by football fans as the most recent Assistant Manager at Lille. From Portugal, the 29 year-old has worked under Patrick Collot, Fernando Da Cruz, Franck Passi, current Leeds Manager Marcelo Bielsa, and most recently under Christophe Galtier at Lille. While he has also worked under Leonardo Jardim and Claudio Ranieri at AS Monaco.

Even though Sacramento doesn't have a direct link with Mourinho, the young Assistant Manager has always worked under current Director of Football of Lille, Luis Campos. Sacramento was also a technical assistant at Monaco when Campos was Director of Football there too.

Mourinho is indirectly linked with Sacramento due to his strong friendship with Campos after working together at Real Madrid where Campos was a scout.

The Special One had such a strong friendship with Campos that he reportedly wanted Campos as Director of Football at Manchester United and Real Madrid when he was Manager at the clubs.

Even though Sacramento is mostly known for his professional coaching in France, the young Portuguese Assistant has a history in England.

Sacramento studied and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at the University of Glamorgan in South Wales. At the time he was also part of the Cardiff City FC scouting department and Under 15 Assistant Coach from 2009 to 2011.

Mourinho is also bringing Carlos Lalin as his new fitness trainer at Tottenham while Giovanni Cerra is joining the analysis team and Ricardo Formoshino is joining the club as a scout.

Tottenham's first game led by Jose Mourinho and assisted by Joao Sacramento will be against West Ham United at the London Stadium on the 23rd of November.
