Jesse Lingard failed to score a single Premier League goal in 2019 but the 27-year old is still said to be of the opinion he's one of the best No.10's around in European football

The claim comes from Goal, who are reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's view on the player is very different and he is willing to let the boyhood United fan leave Old Trafford in the summer.

The arrival of Bruno Fernandes, who has three goals and three assists in a United shirt after arriving from Sporting, has pushed Lingard further down the pecking order and he now is seen as a bit-part player.

A series of underwhelming performances have irritated Solskjaer, who has demanded improvement from the England international and even dropped him from the matchday squad this season.

His contract currently has 18 months remaining, and while United are also able to extend it by an extra year, it's looking increasingly likely that Lingard will be out the exit door.

Super agent Mino Raiola is now working for the United No.14 and there's already been talk of interest from both Roma and Atletico Madrid.

Lingard went over a year without scoring domestically before ending the drought in a 6-0 thrashing over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup back in January.

He started the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester City days later but was ripped into by Solskjaer, who hooked him two minutes later after giving him an earful from the touchline.

Fans at United have also turned on Lingard, withfootage circulating of some supporters abusing him following the 3-0 win over Derby County on Thursday night.
