Jesse Lingard Names A Surprising Joker At Manchester United

Jesse Lingard has named a surprising member of the Manchester United team as the joker among the pack.

While the team gear themselves for the start of the new campaign, the 23-year-old winger has revealed new-boss Jose Mourinho likes a joke or two.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager comes with the reputation as being quite stern with this players but the United starlet has claimed the Portuguese is down with the 'banter'.

Speaking to The Mirror he explained his approach; "I thought he'd be very strict but, even though he works us hard and his mind is always on the job at all times, he also has a joke with the players."

"He's the main coach and the main manager. He takes all the sessions and, while he wants us to work hard, he is always cracking jokes and having banter with the players."

His friendly demeanor has come across well with the United team, as he continues by adding; "I think that has helped the lads bond with him. He has that presence and aura about him, but you can still speak to him about anything and he will always try to help."

Lingard and Co. begin their 2016/17 Premier League season with a trip to Bournemouth today at 1:30pm.
