Jamie Vardy Set For Pay Rise

It's been a good week.

If you're anything like me then at some point this week you've been hoping the Leicester City players haven't been too heavy on the booze simply because you want them to be able to remember the incredible week they've been having. For Jamie Vardy there's even more good news.

Aside from having to clean up the mess that his teammates must have made on Wednesday night at Chez Vardy after they watched their title win from the striker's house, it's been a pretty good week for Vardy, as well as those who made all the mess.

But other than winning the Premier League, and awaiting the movie on his life, Vardy can sit back safe in the knowledge that the Foxes title victory has landed him a pay rise worth an extra £20k-a-week. That means he'll be earning nearly £100,000-a-week or £5.2 million-a-year.

The story of Leicester's top scorer is pretty well known having been dropped by Sheffield Wednesday early in his career and then having to rise through the ranks in non league football before eventually ending up at the King Power Stadium whilst the club were in the Championship.

Life nearly went full circle for the striker when he was on the verge of a £5million move back to Sheffield Wednesday last summer but this season he's been an incredible revelation breaking the Premier League record for goals scored in consecutive matches earlier this season. His goals have been at the forefront of Claudio Ranieri's side's amazing title win.

Whenever Jamie Vardy the film comes out it's sure to be a good watch and we'll especially look forward to the moment he got sent off against West Ham and then screamed in John Moss' face, quite frankly everything the referee did that day must have been to secure a place in the film.
