Jamie Redknapp is involved in an utterly outrageous story, but it's not the former footballer who is responsible for the sheer weirdness.

That's because the pundit has revealed that he gets a text every day off former Arsenal right-back Emmanuel Eboue, urging him to convert to Christianity.

What we're all wondering first is why on earth Emmanuel Eboue has Jamie Redknapp's number, which is the exact question James Corden asked Redknapp on the A League Of Their Own show set to air tonight on Sky1.

The Ex-England international revealed that he and Eboue's sons are the same age and both play football. That's all fair and good, you may think, right?

But in what is an utterly bizarre thing to do, Redknapp says that Eboue sends him a text every day trying to persuade him to find God. He even sends "thoughts for the day", with Jamie getting his phone out to read one of the messages.

He reads the text, which says the following:

"Do you think you've failed? "With God, it is never too late for a new start."

Redknapp says he doesn't know the Ivory Coast man and yet he's still getting weird messages every day.

Here's a clip from the episode in which the Eboue madness comes about. James Corden and Jack Whitehall are in stitches.

Block his number, Jamie. It's a good job Eboue's not giving him advice on him to be a competent footballer!
