Jadon Sancho Ruined Two Czech Republic Defenders At Wembley Last Night

Dripping in sauce...

Jadon Sancho looks perfectly at home on the international stage and lit up Wembley once more in the 5-0 thrashing of the Czech Republic last night.

The 18-year old starlet was handed his second start in an England shirt and marked it with his second assist - setting up Raheem Sterling for the opening goal with a perfect cross to the far post.

Sancho completed the full 90 minutes and became the third-youngest player to start a competitive international for England at Wembley after Duncan Edwards and Michael Owen.

And he was a joy to watch throughout - essentially just translating his street football swagger to the hallowed turf of the national team stadium and having no problem mugging off his opponents.

In fact, he ruined two Czech Republic players in one swift sequence with a filthy double nutmeg. The absolute cheek of the lad.

You just have to impressed with the confidence Sancho has with the ball at his feet. He only made his first ever senior appearance of his career less than 18 months ago but he looks the absolute part and is playing with such freedom.

There is an arrogance to his play but that's necessarily a negative thing - and it's a trait Raheem Sterling has told him to maintain.

"Off the field he is a top lad, and that's the one thing I try to correct him on, off the field, because he's a great person, just try to help him with advice," England's hat-trick hero said, as per Sport 360.

"But on the field, be as arrogant as you want. On the field you don't need to be level headed. For me, he just needs to keep doing what he's doing and think the best of his ability because that ability can take him all the way to the top."

Sancho is not afraid of trying new things. They won't always come off and that was the case in last night's game, but Southgate is accepting of that.

"Jadon made a really good contribution to the first goal," the England boss said after the game.

"A bit of a mixture outside of that, but that's wing players. We're asking them to try things. We're asking our attacking players to take things on. As a coach you have to accept that they will fail a number of times, but then the times that they succeed will create chances and will create goals."
