Jack Grealish levelled matters for Aston Villa against West Ham in sublime fashion at the London Stadium this evening.

Having conceded early on through Angelo Ogbonna's header, the Villa skipper pulled his side level courtesy of some individual brilliance.

Picking the ball up in midfield, Grealish drove towards goal and fired an emphatic finish into the far corner for his fifth Premier League goal of the season.

He was aided by a slight deflection but it was a wonderful piece of play from the England international, who is ranked third in terms of goal involvements this term.

The 26-year-old kept Villa in the division with a terrific goal at the same ground on the final day of last season and here he was doing the business again.

It was a goal that really summed up Grealish as a player. The dropping of the shoulder and then the accurate strike to go with it.

He's been flattered by comparisons to Paul Gascoigne after recent scintillating performances for England but Jamie Carragher likened him to Eden Hazard in his pre-match analysis on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.
