Iran's World Cup squad received a heroes reception as they returned home from Russia.
The Asian minnows exited the World Cup but performed valiantly considering their group contained two European big boys in Portugal and Spain.
Iran opened their campaign by beating Morocco thanks to a last gasp goal sparking wild scenes. Carlos Queiroz's side then narrowly lost to Spain, before picking up a point against the 2016 European Champions.

Four points, unfortunately, was not enough to book a spot in the last 16 with Spain and Portugal eventually securing passage to the next round.
However, Iran fans appreciated their football team who did themselves proud on the biggest sporting stage.
Heroically competing against some of the very best players in the world which included goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand saving a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo.
And once the team touched down in Tehran, the World Cup squad were greeted by thousands and thousands of Iranians with young lads even scaling the fence to give their heroes flowers in brilliant scenes.
Incredible reception. The beautiful game.
Well done, lads.
