Introducing Jeferson da Conceição Gonçalves, aka "Jefinho." The Brazilian Paralympic star is on the verge of becoming a three-time gold medalist while being heralded as the "Paralympic Pele."

By the young age of seven-years-old he was completely blind, a few years before he took up the beautiful game since taken it by storm.

Despite never seen the iconic Pele in action, he feels honoured being dubbed with the impressive tag."It's an honor for me to be compared to an athlete like Pelé."

Meanwhile his coach Fabio Vasconcelos showered his star pupil with praise by claiming he is "phenomenal player."

"He's a unique player who has already been considered to be the best player in the world. I did not see Pelé play, but he was a phenomenal player. I don't know if you can compare both of them, but for me, Jefinho is a phenomenal soccer player."

After guiding his nation to consecutive gold medals in both Beijing then London, Jefinho and Co. are on course to make it an impressive hat-trick.

Brazil will play China for a spot in the gold medal match-up on Saturday. And his success on the pitch have help garner attention to the sport.
