Lazio and Inter played out a thrilling finale to the Serie A season - with the visitors earning a spot in next season's Champions League thanks to a dramatic late show at the Stadio Olimpico.
The final day encounter was effectively a play-off to determine who would be playing in Europe's premier competition next term and with around 15 minutes remaining, it looked as though it would be the team from Rome.
But then some utter madness followed. Stefan De Vrij, the Lazio centre-back who will be playing for Inter next year, gave away a penalty against his next employers and it was slotted home by talisman Mauro Icardi in the 78th minute.

Defender Senad Lulic was sent off a minute later for the hosts before Matias Vecino wrote himself in Inter folklore by sending Inter back amongst Europe's elite with a header nine minutes from time. In just four minutes, the score had shifted from 2-1 Lazio to 3-2 Inter and the Nerrazurri held on to snatch fourth spot at the very death.
As per usual, Peter Drury's description of the drama was absolute perfection.
Lazio actually had a better goal difference than Inter but in Serie A they prioritise head-to-head records and that is how Luciano Spalletti's side have edged it.
