A fan has put together an incredible compilation visualising what it would be if Lionel Messi and Kevin De Bruyne played together.
After handing in a transfer request at Barcelona, Messi was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City - where he would of course be reunited with his former manager Pep Guardiola.
It ultimately never happened as Messi reluctantly agreed to stay put in Catalonia but that's not stopped one supporter imagining how Messi would fit into a table-topping City side brimming with quality.

Specifically, @MEDIVON is excited about the sensational link-up that would ensue between Messi and De Bruyne if they lined up in the same team.
The ridiculous two minute video includes a number of clips seamlessly spliced together to make it look as though Messi and De Bruyne are combining.
It gives fans a taste of just how devastating the pair would be. On the same wavelength, De Bruyne and Messi laying on inch-perfect passes for one another would be quite something.

Messi hasn't had a midfielder of De Bruyne's quality since his time playing with Xavi and Andres Iniesta in that all-conquering Blaugrana side and you just know that there will be a telepathic understanding there.
Amazed by the compilation, fans were salivating over the prospect of two world-beaters fusing together and fear for the rest of Europe if Messi was to move to City.
One wrote: "This is aesthetically pleasing to my eyes."

Another commented: "Messi hasn't had this kind of service since Iniesta and Xavi. Hope he goes to City in the summer."
A third said: "That would be a true cheat code hahahah."
A fourth stated: "This should be illegal."
@MEDIVON has also created another compilation envisaging what madness would be conjured up if De Bruyne was feeding Borussia Dortmund goal-machine Erling Haaland, a top target for City and other leading European clubs.

The precise passes and unstoppable crosses that the Belgian brings to the table are perfect for the pace, power, movement and killer instinct of Haaland.
