Arjen Robben has been the master of scoring the same goal 38484 times but a new video shows that Cristiano Ronaldo might just be the king of replicating previous efforts.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored so many different types of goals in his glittering career from bullet headers to free-kicks right through to instinctive finishes and mazy runs.

But @TimelineCR7 has shared a clip branding Ronaldo as "The king of scoring the same goals he's scored before".

And when you watch just over a minute of footage, it's hard to disagree. Remarkably, Ronaldo has scored a plethora of carbon copy goals.

The very first clip is him darting down the wing and scoring the exact same goal twice for Real Madrid, while his strikes against Roma and Dynamo Kiev are eerily similar.

They were at different points of his career and but the piece of play is virtually the same. The deft chop inside from the left and the emphatic finish into the far corner.

So many of his set-pieces are replicas, as are his one-on-one goals against Barcelona and Sweden when he calmly rounded the goalkeeper and found the net.

Albert Einstein once said, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" and that definitely applies to Ronaldo - as seen in these ridiculous side-by-side clips turning out for Manchester United, Real Madrid,Juventus and the Portugal national team.

Now approaching 36 years of age, Ronaldo has now scored an incredible 750 official goals in 1029 games.

648 have come in club competitions for United, Real and Juve - with 132 in the Champions League - where he is the highest-ever goalscorer.

102 have been scored in Portugal colours.

He'll be looking to add his tally at the Nou Camp tonight, where he and Lionel Messi will do battle again in the Champions League group stage clash.
