Just when you thought you'd seen everything on FIFA 21, a player blatantly handled the ball and was not punished.
A reddit user going by the name u/ZeDude21 went on the FIFA subreddit to share footage of the absolutely absurd scenes on FUT champions.
In the 62nd minute, Romelu Lukaku was sprinting through on goal and saw a rasping left-footed strike saved by Alphonse Areola.

However, the effort was hit with so much power that it went through the French goalkeeper and was trickling towards the goal-line.
Just as it was about to head in, Raphael Varane got back in. But instead of clearing the ball using his head or feet, the Real Madrid man quite clearly punched the ball to safety.
Somehow, no penalty was given and the ball simply went to teammate Ferland Mendy before play continued.

Fellow players were in completely disbelief at what happened, with many viewing it as one of the most bizarre glitches on this year's game.
There is another contender, however. Earlier this month we told you how goalkeepers had become completely frozen and unable to do anything.
Over on reddit in the FIFA section, user 'tealyg99' posted a video of the weirdness he experienced with his goalkeeper in a recent game on Squad Battles.

While 7-0 up in the second half, he was awarded a free-kick in his own box that ended up being taken right on the goal-line. However, as the goalkeeper lined up to take it, he ended up behind the goal and could only kick at the netting.
The frustrating scenes happened for a lengthy period, as 'tealyg99' explained that he got to a ridiculous 38 minutes of added time before he finally disconnected.
This particular glitch has been experienced by several members of the FIFA community as plenty of people in the comments have said they had the exact same thing happen to him.
