West Ham could soon have the strongest player on FIFA in their ranks, with news that they have agreed terms for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller.

Sky Sports report that the Hammers will be paying £45 million for the 25-year-old striker, who notched 15 goals and nine assists in the Bundesliga last season.

Haller's form domestically as well as his five goals in Frankfurt's run to the Europa League semi-finals was so impressive that he received a winter upgrade in FIFA 19.

Initially a 78-rated Ultimate Team card, EA Sports bumped him up to an 81 rating and also increased his strength stat to 98 - meaning he eclipsed 'The Beast' Adebayo Akinfenwa as the strongest player on the game.

Akinfenwa, undoubtedly a FIFA legend, had a memorable run as the strongest non-in-form player in Ultimate Team - but was well and truly knocked off his perch in February.

Haller is good value to remain the strongest player on the game when FIFA 20 is released in September and we are now likely to have both of football's biggest tanks playing in England next term.

Former Utretcht man Haller is on his way to London for a medical and if all goes well, will become West Ham's club-record signing.

Manuel Pellegrini has allowed Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll to all leave this summer but clearly has faith in Haller to do the business for his side next term.
