Iker Casillas has jumped to the defence of under-fire Loris Karius following another mistake between the sticks.
The legendary Spanish keeper posted a message online in support of Karius who continued to receive abuse after committing a blunder in goal for Liverpool during pre-season.
The Reds began their U.S tour with a 3-1 defeat to the hands of Borussia Dortmund.

Karius was at fault for the third goal Liverpool conceded, parrying the ball into the path of Jacob Bruun Larsen.
Social media well and truly erupted. A slew of derogatory Tweets were aimed at the 24-year-old.

However, he received a classy message from Casillas.
"Will this attack on Loris Karius ever end?
"I'm talking about him like so many other goalkeepers. There are many more serious problems in the world f***! Leave the Kid alone! He's also a person. As we all are!"
In English...
Class words, Iker.

While Karius is currently getting a run in under Jurgen Klopp, he'll lose his spot in the team once the new campaign begins due to the arrival of Alisson Becker who joins Anfield for £62 million. A world record fee for a goalkeeper.
Anyway, Karius himself then addressed the critics by posting a heartfelt message.
"To those who take joy in seeing other people fail or suffer, I feel for you," he wrote on Instagram.

"Whatever it is that's happening in your life to hold this much anger and hate, I pray that it passes and good things come to you."
