Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been Manchester United's saviour on so many occasions this season and was at it again yesterday when he bagged a brace for Manchester United, including the matchwinner, in the EFL Cup final.

Even at 35, Zlatan shows no signs of slowing down and has an excellent return of 26 goals in all competitions. You really wonder where United would be without him.

With Ibra only signing a one-year deal but with an option for a second, United no doubt want to tie him down to a new deal but the consensus is that he has one condition that must be met before he signs a new contract.

According to the Daily Mirror, contract talks with the Swedish striker have slowed down because he wants to see whether or not the club achieve a top four spot and qualify for next season's Champions League.

The former PSG, AC Milan and Barcelona man does not want to go another season without playing in Europe's top competition.

To do that and meet Ibrahimovic's demands, United either need to finish in the top four or go all the way in the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League via that route.

And at present, with United in sixth position, negotiations are being delayed until Ibrahimovic has an idea whether or not he will be playing Champions League football next term.

Zlatan on form in all senses yesterday

The ever quotable Zlatan gave typically Zlatan interviews to Sky Sports following his match winning performance.

The first was an interview on his own, reacting to the game and it was peak Zlatan.

And the 35-year old provided more goodness later on when he took part in another interview, this time alongside his pal Paul Pogba.

With Ibrahimovic providing the goods on and off the pitch, Manchester United fans are no doubt desperate to see him in a red shirt again next season.
