An iconic celebration...

Footballers always hear the abuse from the stands, some of them choose to ignore it, but in the case of Kris Boyd, they will respond in hysterical fashion.

After slotting a penalty past Joe Lewis in the 32nd minute against Aberdeen, the Kilmarnock forward took his opportunity to rile up The Dons fans who had been heckling him all game.

The 35-year-old, who had been receiving jabs about his weight for the opening half hour, ran to the away end at St Rugby Park and gestured a large belly before partaking in the popular 'Take the L' dance from Fortnite. Check the celebration out below:

However, Aberdeen managed to have the last laugh as two second half goals from substitute Bruce Anderson and Lewis Ferguson doomed Killie to their third defeat of the season.

Safe to say that both sets of fans had an opinion on the celebration...

Despite not being in the same shape as he was 10 years ago, the former Rangers man has had a prolific start to the SPL season, managing five goals in 11 games to help Kilmarnock to 4th, just five points behind league leaders Hearts.

Boyd, who recently spoke about the effects that fan abuse has had on him throughout his career, has been tipped for a return to the Scotland national team fold despite not making an appearance since 2010.

He told the BBC: "I like the banter. But I'm not going to go home and sit in my room and think 'oh no, that fan said this or that'. There's a lot of other things gone on my life that brings football into context."
