Heung-Min Son equalised with Spurs' first shot on target against Liverpool at Anfield after a VAR review went in his favour.

After Mo Salah had opened the scoring in the top of the table clash with a deflected effort, the Korean star was played through by Giovani Lo Celso and finished superbly when faced with a one on one with Alisson Becker.

There was a suspicion of offside in the build up and so the goal was reviewed by VAR. The lines came out and despite it looking like an incredibly tight call where Son's foot may well have strayed offside, he was given the benefit of the doubt.

But Liverpool fans felt extremely aggrieved and pointed out the inconsistencies with the way in which the offside rule is being used in the game - having seen a number of goals chalked off in similar scenarios this term.

In the 2-2 draw with Everton in October's Merseyside derby, Jordan Henderson's last-gasp winner was ruled out after Sadio Mane's arm was deemed to have been offside.
