Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the talk of Manchester United following his scintillating form not to mention scoring an outrageous scorpion kick, and now the Armenian has named his United idols.

The talented midfielder returned to action on Boxing Day to face Sunderland after an injury derailed his superb run of games.

Jose Mourinho's side secured all three points including a goal of the season candidate, and he's finally proving his worth since joining in the summer.

Even though his United career is still in it's infancy stage, Mkhitaryan grew up watching them while admiring both Eric Cantona and Andrei Kanchelskis.

"I started watching United at a time when Eric Cantona was in the team, and I loved watching him play." He told the clubs official website via Metro.

"Andrei Kanchelskis was another who I'd keep an eye out for - as he was a Russian player I found that very interesting."

Though legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson gets the ultimate nod for his United idol; "But, in terms of a United idol, that would have to be Sir Alex Ferguson."

Not bad names, Henrikh. Not bad at all.
