Harry Redknapp has admitted his interest in becoming Scotland's new manager, as the SFA continues its search for Gordon Strachan's replacement.
The former Tottenham, QPR and West Ham manager was most recently in charge of Birmingham City in the English Championship before being sacked last month following a poor run of results.
Now 70, Redknapp might well suit an international gig better than the day-in, day-out stresses involved in club management, and after famously missing out on becoming England boss back in 2012, Harry appears to now have his sights set on taking over at Hampden.

Speaking via BBC Scotland, Redknapp was asked if he'd be interested in the role, and he replied: "Of course. It must be a fantastic job to have. I think Gordon did what he could.

"I must be truthful, I watched the Scotland games and not the England games, because there was nothing on the England games.
"Those last two Scotland games, the win against Slovakia, the late goal, I kicked every ball that day.
"Then I thought Scotland had a chance, and then 1-0 up in the second game (against Slovenia), it would've been a real great achievement to have qualified, but I think Gordon did what he could. It's a difficult job.

"I wouldn't see myself having any chance of getting it, but it would be a great job for someone."

Harry is sometimes type-cast as this wheeler-dealer character amongst football fans, but this is a coach who guided Spurs from the Premier League's relegation zone to the Champions League knockout phases in a short space of time, and he won the FA Cup at Portsmouth.

Surely the SFA could do a whole lot worse than give 'Arry a ring, no?
