In bad news for Spurs and Fantasy Football fans, Harry Kane could miss Tottenham's first game of the year, meaning he could have to wait to get off the mark

The England ace, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season, scored back-to-back hat-tricks against Burnley and Southampton to finish the year as the top scorer in Europe, notching an incredible 56 goals for club and country.

The 24-year old is chasing a third consecutive hat-trick, but according to The Telegraph, is a doubt for the trip to Swansea on 2 Jan after contracting an illness, as revealed by Mauricio Pochettino.

"He is ill," said the Spurs boss in his press conference.

"He is at home and not feeling good. We will see tomorrow if he comes to training. I don't know whether he will be available or not."

It won't just be Spurs fans hoping that Kane recovers in time to make the game against the league's bottom side, as plenty of Fantasy Football fans will have him in their side, and maybe thinking about triple captaining him - given that Swansea away is a shoo-in for Kane to have a field day.

Kane, who now holds the record for the most Premier League goals in a calendar year, racked up 17 points, more than any other player, to take his tally up to 131 following his showing in Gameweek 20.

He won't be getting any points in Gameweek 21 though, given that Spurs don't have a fixture - instead they play twice in 48 hours during Gameweek 22. As a result, at the time of writing, over 242,000 players have took him out of their teams,, making Kane the most-sold player.
