Granit Xhaka has demanded talks with the Arsenal hierarchy after being stripped of his Captaincy after the Crystal Palace game last Month.

Xhaka is reportedly ready for his showdown talks with Arsenal after losing the Captain's armband last month. The Swiss International was caught telling fans to "f*** off" when he was subbed off against Crystal Palace.

Since that game, Xhaka hasn't even made the squad since October 24th and has been linked with a supposed move to clubs such as AC Milan, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Newcastle United in January.

The 27-year-old Swiss player spoke to the media after Switzerland's 6-1 win over Gibraltar on Monday which secured qualification for EURO 2020.

"I have a clear idea as to how things should proceed, and Arsenal know this as well... Although I still have a contract with them, I will be glad to return to the club - so we can finally sort matters out... There will surely be a solution - as I can't accept what has happened with me."

Xhaka angered fans of Arsenal again over the International Break when Arsenal fans assumed a recent Instagram post was in relation to his treatment at Arsenal.

The caption translated into English says: "Happiness is when you are satisfied with yourself and do not need the confirmation of others."

Granit Xhaka has been at Arsenal since the Summer of 2016, playing 144 games for the North London club, netting 11 goals as well as producing 17 assists.

The Swiss Midfielder was only made Club Captain this past Summer by Manager Unai Emery, over players such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
