Graeme Souness has responded to Paul Pogba claiming he doesn't know he is by pointing out the medals he has won.

Former Liverpool midfielder Souness has developed quite the disdain for the Manchester United midfielder, regularly criticising him during his appearances in the Sky Sports studio.

Pogba was asked about in a recent interview with the United podcast and stated that he wasn't aware who the Scot is.

This morning Souness was in a chat with Jamie Carragher and host David Jones on Sky Sports during which the topic came up.

After Carragher explained how he felt the dig was "below the belt" and Jones told the three-time European Cup winner to show his medals, Souness said: "Exactly, the oldest thing in football comes to mind, put your medals on the table."

The former Rangers boss kept it quite cool but you've got to suspect there is a bit of anger bubbling inside of him.

Even in isolation, Souness recently went in on the former Juventus man again by insisting he would be "an absolute doddle to play against".

Writing in his column for the Sunday Times, Souness wrote: "Pogba has absolutely everything to be a top player - great athleticism, super technique - but his attitude to the game is the polar opposite of mine.

"He goes out with one thought in his mind: 'I'm going to show everyone how clever I am today and be the star of the show.'

"My attitude, the way I was taught, was: 'Go out and work harder than the guy you're in against and see where that takes you.' He'd be an absolute doddle to play against."
