Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain will not be extending his contract at Napoli and could leave this summer.
Nicolas Higuain is the brother of the Argentine striker and acts as the player's agent. Speaking to radio MARCA, he said:
"Gonzalo [Higuain] won't renew his contract with Napoli."

Juventus have been touted as potential suitors but it is thought that Napoli do not want to sell to one of their Serie A rivals. Other European sides believed to have shown an interest are Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid - the former are looking for a striker following the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United while Atletico Madrid are seemingly always intrigued when a world-class striker is available.
The former Real Madrid man won't come on the cheap though and has a staggering โฌ94 million release clause.
His agent continued on the matter, saying:
We'll see what happens next year with Napoli, given that his contract expires in 2018 when he turns 30. For now we'll continue to abide by the contract, after that I don't know what will happen, whether a club will be able to buy him or not. We have a contract with Napoli and, as a great professional, Gonzalo will continue to respect it. He'll train correctly and give his all. But it absolutely won't be renewed if things stay this way.
