Mesut Ozil scored a volley from heaven against Newcastle this afternoon.
The German playmaker had only two goals to his name before today's English Premier League game, netting against Everton and Huddersfield over the last two months.
But despite the lack of goals, he didn't show any sign of rustiness when volleying home a beautiful goal to open the scoring for Arsenal.

He didn't even need an extra touch - just taking aim and belting into the top corner to leave Rob Elliott with no chance. WHAT A GOAL.

There's still a lot of speculation surrounding his future at the club as he goes into the last months of his current contract and goals like this won't cool interest from other clubs in signing him.
But it's good for Arsene Wenger that Ozil is starting to find more consistent form - particularly going into a busy winter period for the club.
