Kylian Mbappe Pulled Off An Audacious Backheel Finish To Score PSG's Opener Against Nantes
Kylian Mbappe coolly pulled off an audacious backheel finish to fire Paris Saint-Germain into the lead against Nantes at the Parc des Princes.
The 20-year-old PSG superstar has been in excellent goalscoring form and has already taken his tally into double figures this season.
And the defending French champions managed to break the deadlock against Nantes early into the second half.
PSG launched a counter-attack as Angel Di Maria made a bursting run down the right-hand side.
And the former Real Madrid winger picked out an unmarked Mbappe in the box, who pulled off a cheeky backheel finish to beat Alban Lafont.
PSG secured a 2-0 victory over Nantes after Neymar scored from the spot-kick.
Mbappe, whose contract with PSG expires in 2022, has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos next summer.
And former Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev believes that it is "inevitable" the French forward will move to Madrid.
He told French newspaper Le Parisien last month: "When [will Mbappe move to Madrid]? I don't know but it seems inevitable.
"The offer from Real Madrid [before Mbappe moved to PSG] was very interesting for Monaco, and he told me: 'Vadim, it's too soon for me.
"'I haven't played more than a year in my own country. I'm from Paris and I don't want to leave my country right now.
"'I want to become a great player here. Real Madrid will wait for me.'"
PSG remain top of Ligue 1 and will return to action on Saturday with an away trip to Montpellier.
Thomas Tuchel's men, who are top of Group A in the Champions League, will play their final clash of the group stages next week against Galatasaray.
