Ruben Neves has scored a Europa League 'Goal of the Season' contender with a thumping 30-yard volley.

Wolves welcomed Espanyol to the Molineux for the first leg of their round-of-32 Europa League clash.

Diogo Jota opened the scoring in the first half before Neves stole the show in the second half with a thunderous strike from outside of the box.

Adama Traore whipped in a cross from the right and an Espanyol player only managed to clear it into the path of Neves.

The 22-year-old Portuguese midfielder chested the ball down before unleashing a powerful volley into the roof of Andres Prieto's net.

And fans have quickly flooded social media with praise for Neves after his worldie against Espanyol.

Matt Doherty played the ball through to Jota, who took a touch before smashing in Wolves' third of the night.

The 23-year-old Portuguese forward has now scored back-to-back Europa League hat-tricks after grabbing his third against Espanyol in the 81st minute.

Update: Wolves completed their stunning 4-0 thrashing over Espanyol at the Molineux. Nuno's men will take their advantage into the second leg on 27th February.
