Christian Eriksen Scores From Direct Corner To Give Inter Milan Important Opening Goal Against Napoli

Christian Eriksen has handed Inter Milan a fighting chance in the Coppa Italia by scoring a shock opener from a direct corner kick.

Inter lost 1-0 in the first-leg of their semi-final clash at the San Siro with Napoli back in February.

But the Italian side plugged the deficit early into the second-leg match at the Stadio San Paolo thanks to Eriksen's corner.

The 28-year-old Danish midfielder whipped in the ball into the box and none of his Inter teammates were able to connect with the ball.

However, Eriksen's corner kick flew past the Napoli players and squeezed through David Ospina's legs as Inter took the lead in the first two minutes.

Fans flocked to social media and shared their disbelief at the former Tottenham star scoring from a direct corner.
