Girona Goalkeeper Bono Sends Striker To The Shops With Outrageous Skill

Jonathan Calleri's reaction said everything...

Girona's Bono might just be our new favourite goalkeeper after his unreal piece of skill under pressure yesterday.

The Moroccan was in between the sticks for the 1-1 draw with Alaves yesterday and showed he's as capable with his feet as he is with his hands by completely sending opposition striker Jonathan Calleri to the shops.

The former West Ham man forward chased down the 'keeper and attempted to press him but Bono, in one swift move, produced a filthy roulette to get out of what could have been a sticky situation.

To shoehorn a U2-related pun in, Calleri still hasn't found what he's been looking for.

He came out looking ice cool under pressure and we're now expecting him to replicate his silky trick in every game he plays from now on.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, who has showed plenty of confidence on the ball for the table-topping Reds this season, gave his approval to the ridiculous roulette on Twitter.

One of the other most satisfying ruinings from a goalkeeper to another player came in April 2018 when Memphis Depay regretted hunting down Dijon goalkeeper Baptiste Reynet after the ball had been played to him.

Memphis discovered first-hand just how good a ball-playing goalkeeper he is, with a deft little chop inside with his left-foot sending a chasing Depay all the back to his earlier days at PSV.

He went tumbling across the floor - and some say he's still sliding as we speak. Reynet, proud of his skilful piece of play, cracked a cheeky smile as he looked back at Memphis on his backside.
