Ryan Giggs yesterday revealed that Jesse Lingard was a 'nightmare' to coach during his time at Manchester United.
During his last few years at Old Trafford, the Welshman undertook his UEFA coaching badges and even coached a 10-year-old Lingard, a task that proved to be difficult for Giggs as Lingard was a natural in all positions.

Speaking on ITV after England's 2-0 victory over Malta, yesterday evening, Giggs explained the problem with attempting to train the United youngster, saying, "he can play a number of positions. He'll give you energy, he'll score goals, he's a team player, but now at 23, he's got to kick on."

" I coached him when he was 10, and my subject for my A license was coaching a number 10. It was nightmare because he did everything right."

Despite Giggs' high praise, the jury is still out on Lingard for many fans as to whether he's worthy of a regular starting position for club and country. The United winger will be hoping Jose Mourinho and Gareth Southgate share Giggs' high opinion of him.
