Gervinho Recalls Training Alongside Mohamed Salah, Says He 'Pushed Like A Madman'

Gervinho will 'never forget' Mohamed Salah's training sessions.

Salah rediscovered his form in Italy following a nightmare spell at Chelsea.

After half-a-term at Fiorentina, Salah enjoyed a prolific stint in Rome. He produced heroics for AS Roma before eventually signing for Liverpool in a transfer worth a reported £36 million.

Salah was determined to make things work at AS Roma, pushing himself 'like a madman' according to former teammate Gervinho.

"Salah is a tough guy," the Ivory Coast attacker said.

"Always calm and strong, with the mentality of a hard worker. I'll never forget his training sessions: very high rhythm, pushed like a madman, you watched him in amazement.

"He had a sort of positive effect - you saw Salah and wanted to work harder. Talent and sacrifice."

Salah bagged a combined 29 Serie A goals for AS Roma between 2015-2017, but he upped his game upon returning to England's top flight.

He scored a remarkable 32 Premier League goals, breaking record after record not to mention being named 'Premier League Player of the Season 2017/18'.

Salah's brilliance quickly turned him into a fan favourite with fans chanting his name home and away, dubbing him 'The Egyptian King'.

This season, he's got six league goals to his name as Liverpool resume their campaign against Watford on Saturday.
