It's well known that Germany are pretty much experts when it comes to penalty shoot-outs. They always seem to do the business from 12 yards.
But it seems as though they aren't resting on their laurels and are looking towards technology to go up an even gear in penalty shoot-outs. The Germans are using Penalty Insights, an app made by software company SAP. It contains all the necessary information to excel from the spot from opposition players most likely to take a spot-kick to the area of the goal they favour.
There's even details on the way the player tends to take their penalties as well as their record from the spot. Crucially, the app also contains video clips of each player's penalties which will be incredibly useful for Germany No.1 Manuel Neuer, not that he needs much assistance.

Germany have a 100% in World Cup penalty shoot-outs, missing just a single spot-kick out of the 18 taken. Bayern shotstopper Neuer isn't too shabby when it comes to saving penalties - he has saved 15 in his career to date.
Goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke, who turned out in between the sticks for his country the last time they won the Euro's, had this to say on the new piece of technology that Germany are utilising.
"Now we can look at individual players and prepare our goalkeepers in an optimal way." he said.

As per usual, the Germans are one step ahead of the game...
