Gareth Southgate has confused fans aplenty after picking three right-backs and two defensive midfielders against Belgium.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker have all been deployed in the same backline in what looks to be an incredibly defensive side selected at Wembley.

Jack Grealish's impressive performance against Wales on Thursday wasn't enough to earn a second start, for the Three Lions as Jordan Henderson and Declan Rice are both back in an unadventurous starting XI for the UEFA Nations League fixture.

Walker will likely be playing as the third centre-back as he did in the World Cup two years back, with Trippier deputising at left wing-back.

But supporters are not best pleased with the lack of creativity, as well as the inclusion of Jordan Pickford and Mason Mount from the off:

Meanwhile, captain Harry Kane is only fit enough for a place on the bench due to muscle fatigue - allowing Dominic Calvert-Lewin to build on his dream England debut a few days back.
