If you are not familar with the 'NewGen' title, let us explain.
At the beginning of every new Football Manager career, all squads are populated by real-world players. As careers progress through the seasons, these real-world players retire and their places are taken by fictional replacements. These are the 'NewGens'.
And the winner of the above auction will appear in FM as a computer-generated youth player, featuring a wealth of authentic biographical information including name, date of birth, weight, height, nationality, position, favoured foot and favourtie club.
Sports Interactive have also kindly donated advertising hoarding space for SpecialEffect in the latest edition of the series.
It is common to become attached to your regen, we all know that, but Sam Douglas took his love to another level last year when he told his fiancee Lucy that he wanted to name their future child after 'Elkan' - one of the regens who served him well in his many hours playing FM.

"The name was Elkan! To be honest he kept going on about his anger being 20 out of 20 and the fact his name sounded like an Avenger," Lucy told SPORTbible.
"To be fair I quite like it. We named our dog Dion after Dion Dublin so why not carry a trend!"
Will you be bidding for the chance to become Football Manager famous?
