EA got this one a bit wrong...

Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz will be expecting an upgrade on FIFA 19 after his electric form this season - and he'll be hoping EA Sports start by giving him a proper mark for his pace.

The 19-year old, who has six goals and four assists for Leverkusen this season, is also the fastest player in the Bundesliga this term - clocking in at 35.02 kph (21.76 mph).

But he is nowhere near the fastest off the mark on FIFA 19, with EA getting his speed and acceleration rating terribly wrong.

His 79-rated CAM card has just 77 pace, which is all the more perplexing when you consider the game's cover star, Cristiano Ronaldo, reached a staggering top speed of 33 kph in the World Cup and has 90 pace on this year's game.

While it should be noted that the aforementioned number Havertz reached is his top speed and not his average speed, surely 77 pace is far too low for someone able to record such a statistic.

Plenty of folks on the FIFA subreddit have been discussing Havertz' pace rating, with some siding with EA and others struggling to get their head around it.

What does look certain, however, is that Havertz will receive an imminent upgrade following his sublime displays.

Just this past week, the Bundesliga's youngest ever debutant laid on two assists in the Europa League against FC Zurich and then followed it up with another double in the thrilling 6-2 win over Werder Bremen - this time Havertz bagged a brace and took his tally to six for the season.

Not too long ago, Havertz was unable to travel to Madrid to play Atletico in the Champions League knockout game because of "important exams".

Fast forward to the present and he has 63 top-flight appearances under his belt, while he's now viewed as one of the hottest prospects in world football.
