The Chinese Super League Is Officially Coming To FIFA 19

It's been heavily rumoured for a while but the Chinese Super League is finally coming to the FIFA franchise, starting with FIFA 19.

For ages, FIFA enthusiasts have been desperate for the league to be added to the game - primarily because it would see returns for so many fan favourite players to use on the game.

In fact, a voting poll from fan site FIF Play well and truly highlighted the interest in the mega-rich league becoming playable in the mode - 213,778 people out of 3,074,724 voted for the CSL as the league they wanted in FIFA 19.

And thankfully, EA Sports have answered our prayers. There's been plenty of whispers, but FIFA YouTuber Alex "Kazooie94" Brands has provided the all-important confirmation we've been looking for.

With EA's consent, he was able to capture footage Gamescom 2018 and produced the following video on the CSL's arrival:

Oscar, Hulk, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Anthony Modeste, Odion Ighalo, Yannick Carrasco, Alex Teixeira, Anderson Talisca, Cedric Bakambu, Javier Mascherano, Renato Augusto, Hernanes, Jackson Martinez, Graziano Pelle, Nico Gaitan, Alexandre Pato and John Obi Mikel are the leading names who will be coming back into the fold.

The Russian Premier League is one of the leagues which will not be featured in this year's game but it's clear there's much more interest in the Chinese Super League given how many high-profile players are playing there and the fact there's a lot of potential five-star skillers.

So now you finally play out your dream Shanghai SIPG Career Mode, or even just play with a CSL XI on Ultimate Team. Throw in the fact that the Champions League and Europa League licences have been obtained, Serie A is included in its proper form and you have a lot of excitement building for the end of September.

Thoughts on the CSL being added?

Sound off in the comments.
