Nine FIFA 22 ICONs Potentially Leaked Online And There's Some Huge Names Involved

A total of four of the nine cards leaked are former Manchester United players.

A recent update to FIFA Online has provided fans with some much-needed hype ahead of the rumoured FIFA 22 release in October, with rumours of nine ICON cards being added to the Ultimate Team game mode.

Icon cards have become a popular feature in the FIFA series since their introduction in FIFA 16.

Ahead of last year's release, the publisher announced Icons: The FUT 100, adding legends such as Xavi, Nemanja Vidic and Petr Cech to the roster.

Eric Cantona, Ashley Cole, Philipp Lahm and Samuel Eto'o were also added to Ultimate Team alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger and Davor Suker, to name just a few.

With just under four months to the rumoured release date, a total of nine potential legends could be added to FIFA 22 after being included in FIFA Online's new update.

Four former Manchester United players - Ji Sung Park, Diego Forlan, Jaap Stam and Robin van Persie - have been included, as well as Wesley Sneijder, who came close to joining the Reds on several occasions.

The other four players mentioned as possible additions are Gabriel Batistuta, Iker Casillas, Cha Bum-Kun and Lucio.

In terms of other FIFA 22 ICON rumours, former Chelsea captain John Terry has been mentioned by some, while Xabi Alonso is another former Premier League legend linked with a possible FUT card.
