Fair play to the lad. Wow.

Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder came on in the second half and destroyed everybody and everything is his path.

To score one goal past David de Gea is an achievement, but to score two in four minutes against the best goalkeeper in the world is something else.

Old Trafford fell silent as the likes of Ever Benega and Steven N'Zonzi pulled the strings in midfield. It was a solid performance from Los Rojiblancos, but one man in particular changed the game completely when he came on in the 72nd minute.

Just two minutes after coming on for Luis Muriel, the 27-year-old slotted past De Gea's near post. It was a sign of things to come.

Ben Yedder wasn't done yet. Four minutes later he netted once again to sink Manchester United's chance of progressing in the biggest competition in world football. Romelu Lukaku managed to pull one back late on, but it wasn't enough.

Sevilla players rushed to applaud their strong away support and the rest is history.

Just minutes after the full-time whistle, a certain Ben Yedder decided to produce some absolute gold on Twitter when he replied to a prediction made by @Aubzology.

Before the game, he tweeted: "This man is going to single handedly knock United out of the CL tomorrow. Remember this tweet."

Ben Yedder proceeded to single handedly knock United out of the Champions League and delivered this memorable response, which eventually gathered over 40,000 RT's and 78,000 favourites.

WOW.

The parting 'lol' at the end of the tweet just puts the icing on top of the cake.

What do you think of Manchester United's performance against Sevilla last night? Did Jose Mourinho get the tactics wrong on this occasion?
