Let's get it out of the way then; Will Ferrell has just bought a football team and his first signing is going to be a midfield Anchorman! Oh come on guys it merits a giggle at least!
American funnyman Ferrell is co-owner of Los Angeles Football Club, a highly original name, the latest team to be added to the MLS roster, although not till 2018, and they won't be some Semi-Pro outfit.
Of course Ferrell is only co-owner so you're probably wondering which Other Guys are with him...he is joined by Cardiff owner and James Bond supervillain Vincent Tan as well as former basketball star Magic Johnson as co-owners and the club today revealed their club badge:
The first question will be whether La La Land is a big enough galaxy for two MLS clubs but the comedy actor will probably drag fans to the new club Kicking and Screaming if he has to.
Whether he goes Old School with his signings or not is yet to be seen but whoever does sign for LAFC will be hoping to put on the Blades of Glory as they prepare for a successful Campaign...
