An interesting opening ceremony...

Robbie Williams' performance at the World Cup opening ceremony was eventful to say the least.

The mega star got it going by belting out his hits such as Let Me Entertain You and Angels but that wasn't what everyone was talking about.

Because for reasons unknown, the former Take That member decided to go all Stone Cold Steve Austin on us and show his middle finger to the camera.

England defender Kyle Walker was watching on like the rest of us and produced an incredible tweet in response to Robbie channeling his inner Year 8 schoolboy by flipping the bird:

Of course, Alli received a one- match ban from FIFA when he was snapped giving the finger in a World Cup qualifying win over Slovakia at Wembley in September - with his explanation being that it was a joke between himself and Walker.

Here's the rest of the brilliant reaction to Soccer Aid's finest opting for the gesture to millions of people watching around the globe:

Nothing gets you more in the mood for the biggest sporting event in the world than seeing The Robster thinking he's hard as fuck when all eyes are fixed on him.

You wouldn't have got that with Gary Barlow or Jason Orange...
