Ashley Young emptied his pockets on Saturday evening and out came a set of keys, his wallet and a Liverpool player going by the name of Mohamed Salah.

Coming into the tie at Old Trafford, plenty would have tipped Salah to continue his hot streak and produce a dominant performance against Manchester United.

Young, on the other hand, had different ideas.

The 32-year-old kept 'The Egyptian King' quiet all afternoon, restricting him to a few chances throughout.

United extended their lead over Liverpool by five points following the 2-1 victory at Old Trafford after the local lad Marcus Rashford bagged a first-half brace to secure all three points.

It was an important win for Jose Mourinho's men and plenty have discussed a series of key talking points in the game - including Ashley Young's defensive performance.

Two days after the win, Young has once again taken the p*ss by taunting Salah on Instagram.

Young captioned the above picture: "Stop asking me! He's not in my pocket, I swear he's not." referencing the classic quote about him pocketing Salah.
