Gerard Pique Casually Performs Seven Keepy-Ups In A Row Against Deportivo

Outrageous.

Remember back in 2008 when former Manchester United winger Nani performed all those keepy-uppies against Arsenal and nearly got kicked off the park?

Ten years later, Nani's former teammate, Gerard Pique, clearly thought the title was already won at Deportivo on Sunday evening when he tried to recreate that moment in a truly bizarre moment.

Pique joined the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in the Deportivo penalty area and when he received the ball, the 31-year-old decided to casually perform seven keepy-ups just before the hour mark.

Why did he do it?

Who knows, but it was a little bit mad to watch:

Barcelona needed just a point to win the La Liga title ahead of their trip to Deportivo this evening.

In the most unsurprising news of the week, Ernesto Valverde's side went on to win the league after securing a predicted victory at Estadio Riazor to wrap up the double.

During the game, Philippe Coutinho and that man Lionel Messi bagged in the first half and despite a consolation from former Arsenal striker Lucas Perez, the Catalan giants secured their 25th La Liga title thanks to another two from the magician Messi.

As a result, Messi became the first player in history to score 30+ goals in seven different La Liga seasons.

So there we have it. Ernesto Valverde's side secure another La Liga title as they remain unbeaten in the league after 33 games, 12 points ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid.

And Gerard Pique is there casually knocking out a few kick-ups in the penalty area.

What a time to be alive.
