Roy Keane marked his acting debut in style with a hilarious cameo in the hit TV comedy series The Young Offenders.

The Manchester United legend, 48, donned a Cork City scarf and crossed paths with Conor MacSweeney, Jock O'Keefe and Mairead.

Keane asked the trio: "If you're not going anywhere, any chance of a fish supper?"

And the pundit was immediately met with a "F**k off" response.

Ex-United captain Keane caught many fans by complete surprise and they subsequently flooded social media with praise for his hilarious acting debut.

The Young Offenders, which is based on the 2016 film of the same name, first debuted on TV in 2018.

The show, which is available on RTE2 and BBC Three, featured six episodes in its first season and was met with praise from critics.

The Young Offenders received a Christmas special that featured Irish actor Robert Sheehan, who is best known for his role as Nathan Young in the hit series Misfits.

The second series premiered on 3rd November and reunited fans with Conor and Jock.

UK fans can check out Keane's cameo by heading over to the BBC iPlayer to access the second series of The Young Offenders.
