If one man is going to make you change your car simply because of the expression on his face then it's Roy Keane.

As well as being a quite brilliant player in his pomp, the former Manchester United captain is a very scary man and always looks like he wants to inflict a lot of pain on someone.

And Peter Crouch has revealed that one look from the Irishman was enough to get him to sell his brand new Aston Martin in the same week.

The king of the robot got a bit too excited when he completed his big move to Liverpool and swapped his Renault Megane for the supercar.

For one, the 6 ft 7 striker struggled to fit into it but he also had the realisation that it really wasn't him when he pulled up alongside Keane, then in his final days at Manchester United, in traffic.

"I was playing for Liverpool and England, so I'm thinking, 'I've arrived', so the Megane can go for an Aston Martin," he said on BBC Radio's Afternoon Edition as part of promotion for his book 'How to Be a Footballer'.

"But I knew it wasn't me. Getting in it was a struggle, and I never felt right in it. But I pulled up alongside Roy Keane, with a bit of speed garage playing, the sunglasses on, window down, arm out.

"Then I looked at Roy and he looked at me, and you've seen Roy look at people in that way. He looked at me, and it's the smallest I've ever felt.

"It was a look of sheer disgust. I have to thank Roy, I don't even know if he knew it was me or some idiot stopped at the lights, but after he took off and left me in his wake I looked at myself in the mirror... and sold the car that week, and took a big hit on it. It wasn't me."

Keane's death stare may well be the most powerful thing in the world and it immediately brought Crouchy, an absolute giant of a man, straight back down to earth.
